Creating a profile type

To start using Community Builder Profile Pro and customize Community Builder profile, profile edit and registration pages, you need to create a profile type. Click on New icon in profile types view to do this.

A profile type edit layout will appear.

• Title. The title for the profile type.
• Alias. Will be used as a value for Community Builder profile type defining field and in URLs. Leave this blank and Joomla will fill in a default value from the title. You may enter the alias manually. Use lowercase letters and hyphens (-). No spaces or underscores are allowed. Default value will be a date and time if the title is typed in non-latin letters.
• Description. The introduction text shown on profile types select view in frontend.
• CB template. The Community Builder template, which CSS stylesheet will be loaded for the current profile type. Leave By CB default to load default template from CB configuration.
• Status. Whether the profile type is Published or Unpublished.
• Default. Whether the profile type is default. Default profile type is assigned to users who hadn't selected any profile type or to all users if multiple profile types functionality is disabled.
• Created by. The author of the profile type. Can be selected from the list by clicking Select User buttton. Default is the current user.
• Created date. Default is the current time when the profile type was created. You can enter a different date and time or click on the calendar icon to find the desired date.
• Modified by. Appears after profile type is saved 2 or more times. Reflects the user who last modified the profile type.
• Modified date. Appears after profile type is saved 2 or more times. Reflects the time when the profile type was last modified.
• Language. The language that the profile type is assigned to. Used for reference purpose.
• Revision. Appears after profile type is saved once. Reflects the number of times the profile type has been revised.
• ID. Record number in the database.
• Profile page. Content filled in this textarea will be displayed on Community Builder profile page.
• Profile edit page. Content for Community Builder profile edit page.
• Registration page. Content for Community Builder registration page.

After you specify the information for the profile type, click on one of the save buttons.
